A comparison.


So this is our backyard today. It's so freezing that I can barely stand being out from underneath covers of some sort. I have spent the day so far doing essays and watching junky TV in bed. (I should prob turn on the heater, but I'm the only one home, not much point in heating the entire house).

Six months ago to the very day, could not have been more opposite...


We'd JUST arrived in Bali, checked in to our hotel and went to have dinner and cocktails nearby. The heat was overwhelming - "sweatin' like a beast" was probably the most commonly heard line during the whole trip. These were the first of many exotic beverages we had. Far out, I can't believe it was six months ago already. Ah, what I would give to be back there again and out of this crappy Melbourne ice box.

    I went into the city at 3am this morning to watch the Champions League Final, that was pretty freezing. It is getting way too cold here, so Melbourne would be even worse.

    It is really awful, and there really wasn't a summer in Melbourne either, so I'm very jealous of your trip to Bali.

    And yet, today it's sunny and I found myself sweating while walking to uni (head to toe black a bad choice..) Ah, Melbourne..
